Swing Time

What truly sets Homemade Jam apart is the family behind the music. Dad and daughter have been performing together throughout the region for more than 20 years, and now the next generation has joined them on stage, adding fiddle and rich harmonies to create a sound that's uniquely their own.
Sean McLeod

Originally from Scotland, Sean McLeod moved to the United States in the early 1970s and spent most of his life in Larkspur, California before relocating to Brookings two years ago. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist since the age of 12, Sean brings decades of musical experience to every performance.
His set features popular songs spanning multiple genres, with a focus on classic rock and alternative rock. Mixing solo acoustic performances with select backing tracks, Sean delivers familiar favorites that audiences know and love.

Mike Powell
Enjoy an afternoon at Umbrella Farms with the music of Mike Powell.
Mike Powell bring decades of live music experience and know how to keep things fun. Mike, from the Orange County/Los Angeles area, started with local bands before heading out on a nationwide tour at 24. Back in L.A., he formed his original band, Dungeon, and played the Hollywood circuit in the ’80s. Now based in Brookings, Mike sings and plays electric, 6 string, and 12 string guitar.
Blue Skies
Welcome Back Blue Skies!
Blue Skies is a local Brookings band consisting of Mark MacDonald on guitar and Dan Hannum on bass guitar. They play a mix of popular music from the jazz era, blending instrumentals and vocal tunes that will bring back memories of another time. They recently added Jim Bixler on percussion to add some groovy rhythms to the mix. Come join us for a trip down memory lane!
Lon Goddard

A Brookings resident for more than 30 years, Lon Goddard brings a lifetime of music, storytelling, and colorful experiences to every performance. Before settling on the Southern Oregon Coast, he worked as a journalist and photographer in London, covering the music scene and interviewing artists from across the industry.
Playing guitar since the early 1960s, Lon blends folk favorites, familiar tunes, humor, and stories gathered from a life well lived.
Gabriel Casas

Gabriel Casas opens the day with live piano, as you browse, explore, and enjoy the farm.
Gabriel has been playing piano since fourth grade and has performed with a wide range of bands spanning rap, reggae, blues, and rock. Alongside his collaborations, he also performs solo piano throughout the area, sharing both contemporary and classical music.
Over the past four years, Gabriel has grown to love the Brookings community and is especially grateful for the friendships he’s built here. It’s always a pleasure for him to play at Umbrella Farms—a place that means so much to him.
Ukulele John
Join Brookings local talent for a fun ukulele set featuring songs from the 60’s through today — from The Beatles, Van Morrison, and Neil Young to The Eagles, Dire Straits, The Who, Tom Petty, and many more, all on ukulele.
Holus Bolus (Tom Boylan)
Enjoy an afternoon at Umbrella Farms with the unique sounds of Holus Bolus.
Holus Bolus, meaning "All At Once," is the stage name of multi-instrumentalist Tom Boylan. Known as the "One-Man Psychedelic Acousti-Loop" artist, he uses acoustic guitar, percussion, and live looping to build songs layer by layer into a distinctive blend of acoustic and psychedelic groove-rock. His creative, one man band performances bring energy, rhythm, and a unique musical experience to the farm.
Don Beck
A Brookings native, I picked up bass and guitar while living in Eugene in my 20s. Since returning home in 1998, I’ve played in multiple bands across Southern Oregon and Northern California, while also performing solo acoustic sets. As of November 2025, I’m focused fully on solo performances, playing several gigs each month and doing what I love, bringing ’60s rock to life.
Paul, Elle, Erick & Friends
Paul and Elle like to call themselves “recreational musicians,” because they try not to take any of it too seriously.
Most of the time, it’s just the two of them. Paul on guitar, Elle on electric bass, and both on vocals. Always focussed on bringing a fun upbeat energy to the music they play.
They love to delight listeners with tight harmonies and offbeat arrangements of classic rock favorites.
Erick Sill usually joins them on drums, which gets folks up and dancing.
Juan Romero
Juan is an acoustic guitar player and singer who performs favorite cover songs people know and love. He brings a warm, relaxed, and engaging style to every event, creating the kind of atmosphere that helps people connect, sing along, and enjoy the moment. From bars and restaurants to private parties, fundraisers, dinners, and community events, Juan delivers live music that feels familiar, heartfelt, and memorable.
Allen Giardinelli Duo With Dave Captein
Join us this Mother’s Day and enjoy a special set from Allen Giardinelli an added touch to your time at the farm.
Allen Giardinelli’s international and widely varied musical background shows in the great versatility of his music making. He grew up traveling the world, living in over 35 countries with his musician parents. His father was a prog rocker turned producer and talent scout for European RCA, and his mother a classical violinist.
Al’s story reflects a lifetime immersed in contrasting musical worlds absorbing influences from the Far East and Europe while staying grounded in American jazz and blues. The result is a unique and highly versatile player, equally at home with electric blues, bottleneck styles, and classic jazz guitar traditions.
For Mother’s Day, Allen will be performing jazz standards in a duo setting on archtop guitar, joined by upright bassist Dave Captein, an underground legend in the Portland jazz scene and Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee.
A lifelong student of the guitar in all its forms, Allen continues to study with great players from around the world.

I’ve been playing piano since fourth grade and have had the joy of performing in a wide range of bands spanning rap, reggae, blues, and rock. In addition to collaborating with other musicians, I also perform solo piano at venues throughout the surrounding area, where I enjoy sharing classical music as well. I’ve grown to truly love the town of Brookings and feel especially grateful for the friendships and community I’ve built here over the past four years. It’s always a pleasure to play at Umbrella Farms a place that means so much to me.
King Tides

Drummer Erick Sill’s love of music began with his mother’s record collection, especially The Music Man and he’s been playing for enjoyment since retiring as a Sierra Nevada Beer truck driver in 2018. Guitarist Ramon Laguardia retired from Silicon Valley and moved to Brookings, where he enjoys having more time to play his favorite classic rock songs. Timothy, on guitar and vocals, is a retired educator and administrator from Arizona who has been involved with music and singing harmony since his high school years.
