Don Beckman
A Brookings native, I picked up bass and guitar while living in Eugene in my 20s. Since returning home in 1998, I’ve played in multiple bands across Southern Oregon and Northern California, while also performing solo acoustic sets. As of November 2025, I’m focused fully on solo performances, playing several gigs each month and doing what I love, bringing ’60s rock to life.

Blue Skies
Blue Skies is a local Brookings band consisting of Mark MacDonald on guitar and Dan Hannum on bass guitar. They play a mix of popular music from the jazz era, blending instrumentals and vocal tunes that will bring back memories of another time. They recently added Jim Bixler on percussion to add some groovy rhythms to the mix. Come join us for a trip down memory lane!
Paul, Elle, Erick & Friends
Paul and Elle like to call themselves “recreational musicians,” because they try not to take any of it too seriously.
Most of the time, it’s just the two of them. Paul on guitar, Elle on electric bass, and both on vocals. Always focussed on bringing a fun upbeat energy to the music they play.
They love to delight listeners with tight harmonies and offbeat arrangements of classic rock favorites.
Erick Sill usually joins them on drums, which gets folks up and dancing.
Bobby Baert and Mike Powell
Bobby Baert and Mike Powell bring decades of live music experience and know how to keep things fun.
Bobby, originally from the Bay Area, has been behind the drums most of his life. He hit the road in the ’70s with horn driven funk bands and spent years playing jazz and fusion through the ’80s and ’90s. These days, he’s still going strong, playing with local musicians in Brookings and Crescent City.
Mike, from the Orange County/Los Angeles area, started with local bands before heading out on a nationwide tour at 24. Back in L.A., he formed his original band, Dungeon, and played the Hollywood circuit in the ’80s. Now based in Brookings, Mike sings and plays electric, 6 string, and 12 string guitar.
Together, they bring great energy, strong musicianship, and a mix of songs that keep the crowd engaged and having a good time.
Juan Romero
Juan is an acoustic guitar player and singer who performs favorite cover songs people know and love. He brings a warm, relaxed, and engaging style to every event, creating the kind of atmosphere that helps people connect, sing along, and enjoy the moment. From bars and restaurants to private parties, fundraisers, dinners, and community events, Juan delivers live music that feels familiar, heartfelt, and memorable.
Gabriel Casas
I’ve been playing piano since fourth grade and have had the joy of performing in a wide range of bands spanning rap, reggae, blues, and rock. In addition to collaborating with other musicians, I also perform solo piano at venues throughout the surrounding area, where I enjoy sharing classical music as well. I’ve grown to truly love the town of Brookings and feel especially grateful for the friendships and community I’ve built here over the past four years. It’s always a pleasure to play at Umbrella Farms a place that means so much to me.

Drummer Erick Sill’s love of music began with his mother’s record collection, especially The Music Man and he’s been playing for enjoyment since retiring as a Sierra Nevada Beer truck driver in 2018. Guitarist Ramon Laguardia retired from Silicon Valley and moved to Brookings, where he enjoys having more time to play his favorite classic rock songs. Timothy, on guitar and vocals, is a retired educator and administrator from Arizona who has been involved with music and singing harmony since his high school years.
Swing Time
Enjoy swing favorites and Big Band era standards with violinist Shirley Hyatt and bass player Dan Hannum. Shirley can also be heard regularly on local station KCIW.
Cisco & Lewis
Join Cisco and bassist Louis Kay for a lively performance rooted in a lifetime of music. Cisco has traveled across the country singing and performing, with career highlights that include jamming with Gregg Allman and even picking up comedy tips from George Gobel.
Louis Kay has toured America playing in a variety of bands and brings seasoned musicianship to every performance. As he likes to say, his job is to make Cisco sound good. Together, they deliver an engaging show built on experience, talent, and a genuine love of what they do.
Homemade Jam
Enjoy an eclectic fusion of musical styles from Homemade Jam, featuring thoughtfully arranged songs rooted in folk traditions and woven with ballads, bluegrass, Celtic influences, jazz and blues, along with touches of classic rock and indie. Their relaxed, welcoming performances connect with audiences of all ages and invite everyone to tap their feet and sing along.
What truly sets Homemade Jam apart is that they are a three-generation family band. Dad and daughter have been performing together in the area for over 20 years, and now the next generation has joined the stage, adding fiddle and rich harmonies to the mix.
Bobby Joe Holman
Join harmonica and guitar player Bobby Joe Holman for an engaging live performance blending blues, classic tunes, and original material. With over 45 years of playing and teaching experience, Bobby Joe has performed alongside legendary musicians including Joe Houston, Big Black, Buddy Reed, and members of Three Dog Night.
In addition to performing, Bobby Joe is a radio host, author, and instructor who has shared his passion for music through live shows, recordings, and television appearances.
